I have a dear friend who in two weeks lost her husband off a fishing boat and her mother to a horrific auto accident. Knowing she would be having lots of family come and knowing there would be plenty of food...its what Mormons do, I filled a basket with all things bath and told her DO NOT wash this stuff. I will come and do it and we can visit while we fold. She has reminded me often how much it helped. Many years and many sad times later we still pray for each other.

It's like you've summarised the book of James in one swoop! "If I have only thoughts and prayers, and have no action'... Kind of vibe.

Great stuff!

Not surprised to hear you wrote something about "thoughts and prayers." For "good" and "bad" reasons, it's a part of our cultural response. Thanks for reading!
